DASH AND ADAM

NOTE:This is set before dash and Adam get together but after Maggie and P.J. 
have gotten together. And this is one of my first fan fictions so please mail me 
and tell me what you think! 
Well Here goes! 



I have always loved him. I know that now. I should have told him how I felt 
earlier. But it is too late now, I have lost him to Kylie Tagar. 
Look at him, sitting over there, probably dreaming about her. If only I could 
tell him how I feel. 
"Dash, Dash are you O.K.? You look like you were in some sort of trance." 
"Yeah, I’m O.K. thanks Mags" 
"Are you sure?" 
"Yeah. Say do you want a drink?" 
"That would be great" 
"Hey Chris, two more drinks please" 
"You really like him don’t you" 
"Like who Mags?" 
"Adam" 
"How did you know? Am I that obvious?" 
"No, I just know how you feel. I used to do the exact same thing to P.J. before 
we got together" 
"How did you finally confess your feelings?" 
"It wasn’t easy and it took a lot of courage. And if it wasn’t for the kiss at 
that party, I probably still be dreaming like you" 
"But I can’t tell him how I feel. I can’t because Kylie is the one he loves, not 
me, and I am afraid he will think I am crazy or something." 
"Just wait, the right time will come for you to tell him how you feel." 
"Thanks Mags, you’re a great friend."

Why do I hide my true feelings for her? Why do I go out with something I don’t 
really like? 
Look at her, sitting over there, working. If only I could tell her how I 
feel.... 
"Adam, Adam are you O.K.? You look like you were in some sort of trance" 
"Yeah, I’m O.K. thanks P.J." 
"You sure?" 
"Yeah. Could you help me with these files?" 
"Sure thing" 
"Thanks" 
"You really like her don’t you" 
"Like who P.J.?" 
"Dash" 
"How did you know? Am I that obvious?" 
"No, I just know how you feel. I used to do the exact same thing to Maggie 
before we got together" 
"How did you finally confess your feelings?"

"But I can’t tell her how I feel. I can’t cause I’m going out with Kylie and I 
don’t want to hurt her feelings" 
"Just wait, the right time will come for you to tell him how you feel." 
"Thanks P.J., you’re a great friend."

"We have just had a report of three guns gone missing, Dash, I want you to go 
and search that old house, there have been reports of people hanging around it, 
it is probably where the guns are. And take someone with you." 
"Sure thing Boss. Hey Mags, you want to go?" 
"Can’t, I’ve got to finish all these reports" 
"How about you Nick?" 
"Sorry, got stacks of paper work to do" 
"P.J.?" 
"Gotta clean the cells" 
"I guess that means I have to go" 
"Grab the keys Adam and meet me out side" 
"Sure thing Dash" 
* * * 
"This must be the place, it surently is old enough" 
"Yeah, it’ll probably fall apart the minute we touch it" 
"Well there’s only one way to find out!" 
*Adam tries to kick the door down*
"It’s stronger that we thought" 
"Well it would help if you unlock it first" 
*Dash unlock the door. Adam follows letting the door slam shut* 
"Oh that was smart, Adam, lets just hope it didn’t lock" 
"It can’t, it only lock form the outside" 
*Unknown to them both, two figures start roaming around outside* 
"Did you hear something outside, Adam?" 
"Nope" 
*The two people start talking* 
"Hey look, we must have left this place unlocked!" 
"We had better lock it before some one starts snooping around in there" 
*The two people lock the door and walk away* 
"Oh great now were locked in" 
"Well at least we have plenty of time to search this place" 
"Oh very funny dash" 
* * * 
"Well there’s nothing here" 
"That’s obvious, we have searched the place 5 times over" 
"I hope someone comes to get us soon" 
"Yeah, they did see us leave didn’t they Dash?" 
"I’m pretty sure they did. Look there is something I have been meaning to tell 
you Adam" 
"What’s that?" 
"It’s just that, well, I lied to you when you told me how you felt about me. I 
really do love you, but I was confused about my feelings then, and when I 
finally got them all sorted out, I couldn’t tell you because you were going out 
with Kylie, and I don’t even know if I should be tell you now, you probably 
think I am crazy or something." 
*Dash starts crying* 
"Dash, calm down, it’s O.K., I feel exactly the same way about you" 
"You do? What about Kylie? I thought you loved her" 
"I only went out with her to fill the whole in my life, the hole I wanted you to 
fill." 
"Oh Adam I never realized" 
"I never expected you to" 
*Dash starts crying again* 
"It’s O.K. Dash" 
*Adam puts his hand an her cheek. Dash looks up and they catch each others gaze. 
Slowly they move there heads closer until their lips interlock Then they stand 
there, embraced, for a long time. Then suddenly they hear there name being 
called out and the door suddenly burst open. They very quickly pull apart and 
look to see who it was. It was Maggie and P.J.* 
"Are you two O.K.?" 
"Yeah, we’re fine, someone just locked us in." 
*Maggie and P.J. try not to look at each other* 
"Well we have to get back to the station. Are you two O.K. to drive?" 
"Yeah, we’ll be fine" 
*Maggie and P.J. hope into one car and drive off. Dash and Adam hop into the 
other but they don’t talk at all on the way back to the station.* 
* * * 
(The next day at the pub) 
"Hey Adam, can you come outside a minute?" 
*They both walk outside* 
"I just wanted to apologies for what happened yesterday." 
"It’s fine. Um, I was just wondering if, um, you wanted to go some where for 
dinner together later" 
"What about Kylie?" 
"Oh she broke it off last night" 
"I’m sorry" 
"Don’t be, I already told you, I want you to fill the hole in my life, no one 
else." 
"I would love to go to dinner with you." 
"I’ll pick you up about 6:30?" 
"That would be great!" 
*Adam kisses dash on the cheek and walks off. Little do they know that two 
figures had been watching them from inside* 
"I told you it would work, didn’t I P.J." 
"Yeah you did, Maggie, you did."
